some quickies
Today I'm introducing a new character, a friend of Purple Polly's, Green Geraldine. I created a species called "chupples" today. Green Geraldine's best friend is a chupple!
I'm not sure what I'm going to do with these characters, but I have a lot of fun drawing them, and hope that a great story can evolve from them.
A woman who used to live across the street from me growing up wants to collaborate on a book. She has already written a story and talked to publishers, who seem interested in it. She asked me if I would like to illustrate it and I figured I'd give it a go! I'm excited to read her manuscript and make some sketches. YAY

two drawings from today
Here are two relatively quick drawings done this afternoon. First is a castle that belongs to a spoiled little princess, Princess Sophia and her mean kitty, Prince Charles. The second drawing is of my little alien character, Purple Polly's encounter with a very large tree. You will be seeing much more of both these stories!

first blog post!
Hello and welcome to my blog! Here, I will be sporadically posting sketches, my process, and finished work. Enjoy!
Here is a poster for a typeface that I designed for Typography class. It was done in Adobe Illustrator. I had lots of fun with this!
This piece, also done in Adobe Illustrator, was for a class called Obsessions and Phobias. The man has a phobia of food, because he is afraid that all food is covered in germs.
I call this one "The Bees Knees". The girl has Apiphobia, the fear of bees.
